Target Audiance

This site is targeted to locals and tourists ages 18-70. The marital status, income, and education of these individuals and families will vary drastically. They will be looking at the site to find out what the weather will be like for daily activities and also to plan trips and to plan farming.

Personas

Persona 1 Jeffery

Jeffery is 20 years old; he currently works on his family farm trying to save money before he goes back to school. He loves doing outdoor activities with his friends and is currently dating a girl named Jill that he likes to go on walks with when the weather is nice.

Persona 2 Annie

Annie is a 30-year-old stay at home mother of three kids. She is very organized and always plans things out well ahead of time. She is always busy between her oldest Connor’s variance sports teams, and her middle child Sally’s piano lessons, all while taking care of 3-month-old Betty. By the time her husband Dan gets home at night and helps put the kids to bed after a little family time, Annie is always exhausted and has little willpower to do anything but snuggle with her husband.

Scenarios

Scenario 1

Jeffery’s dad has decided that he needs to learn more about the farm. His dad gave him the task to plan out when they will harvest this year. To this out he needs to know what the weather is going to be like. Jeffery goes to the work computer and pulls up the local weather page, PSFS Weather Plus, to see what the local weather news says. He sees that it is projected to freeze in two weeks and tells his dad that they need to harvest next week to be done before the plants go bad.

Scenario 2

Jeffrey just finished dinner on Friday night and is texting his girlfriend Jill, she asked him if they are going to do anything the next day. Jeffrey pulls up the local weather on his phone and checks the weather, it says the lows for the next day is in the 70’s. He then texts her back and asks if she wants to go for a walk and picnic the next day.

Scenario 3

Annie is setting clothes out for her kids for the week, she needs to know what type of cloths they need so that they can be comfortable. She pulls up PSFS Weather Plus on her phone and notices that the whole week will be in the 80’s, so she pulls out shorts for the kids each day.

Scenario 4

Annie is planning a family trip to Bear Lack; she wants to plan out the activities that they will be doing while they are there. She sits at the family computer and looks at the forecast for that week, she sees that it is raining on Monday, but sunny the rest of the week. So, she writes a reminder to pack some board games to play inside on Monday and plans outdoor activities the rest of the week.

Scenario 5

It’s Saturday and Annie has spent the whole morning at the park watching Connor play baseball. Another mom comes up to her and comments on the weather and how it feels like its starting to get colder already. Annie says that she didn’t notice. As they keep talking out of curiosity Annie pulls up today weather on her phone and sees that indeed it is colder that it has been the last few weekends.
